{"id":292,"date":"2010-09-21T12:40:25","date_gmt":"2010-09-21T16:40:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fptc.info\/?page_id=292"},"modified":"2025-01-17T15:39:32","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T20:39:32","slug":"club-facilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fptc.info\/?page_id=292","title":{"rendered":"Facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Club House and Courts<\/span><\/h3>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"3\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"40%\">\n<h3>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fptc.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_1945-21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-239\" title=\"FPTC - from the parking lot #2\" src=\"https:\/\/fptc.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_1946-21-300x221.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"119\"\/><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"60%\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Fonthill Platform Tennis Club has a Clubhouse and two courts located at 15 Accursi Crescent just wend of Haist St. in Fonthill (site of the old Pelham Arena).&nbsp; Conveniently, there is a Town of Pelham Playground and Swing Set just behind our courts in Rolling Meadows Park.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The courts are available for pick-up play and practice by FPTC Adult Members and Families between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. whenever league play and tournament play are not scheduled.&nbsp;&nbsp;The clubhouse may also be reserved for special occasion use by club members.&nbsp; Reservations for &nbsp;courts or the clubhouse may be made through the executive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">All members and guests use the Club Facilities at their own risk. The Club is not responsible for personal injury or loss of property, however caused.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Maintenance:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">A local person is hired each year to do all the court shovelling<span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">.&nbsp; <\/span>&nbsp;All other regular maintenance and cleaning is done by member volunteers. &nbsp; Annually, the executive puts together a clubhouse cleaning &nbsp;schedule.&nbsp; Members will be approached as required to volunteer in helping keep the courts in working order and the clubhouse looking good. &nbsp;This season, the courts were resurfaced in the fall and replacement screens will be installed in the early spring. &nbsp;The surface &#8216;boards&#8217; will be reinforced to make sure the ball bounces as it should.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Club House and Courts &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Fonthill Platform Tennis Club has a Clubhouse and two courts located at 15 Accursi Crescent just wend of Haist St. in Fonthill (site of the old Pelham Arena).&nbsp; Conveniently, there is a Town of Pelham Playground and Swing Set just behind our courts in Rolling Meadows Park.
